@@T4zzM4nn I had to restart because i died 5k blocks looking for mushrooms, and i learned you can get it by mutandis lol, also added quality of life mods like journeymap, ironbackpacks, and optifine. :P

Later on in the series I add mini map as well 😋

Sorry about that, not sure what the issue is. I hope that you don't have that issue with any of the remaining videos. I just went and looked at it and the volume seemed fine for me. Maybe it is a RUclips issue

Yes, other than simple macros using Visual Studio Code is much more efficient. Copying and pasting is definitely a viable solution. I am glad you are enjoying the series

Ok... sorry this was awful I really want to be positive so thank you for taking time to do this. I don't think I'll be coming back to videos like this though. If you did actually get to some point where you succinctly explain how to use statblock let me know i'll go check that video out.

As I said in the previous post, I am sorry you feel that way. As I have stated throughout the series I am not a guru at everything Obsidian and that many of the episodes we will be learning things together. My main goal was to introduce my viewers to Obsidian, and give them an idea of the plugins that are available for it in regards to TTRPGs. Then if they had the interest in one or more, they could do additional research in learning them more fully.

Not a lot of people are talking about this enough and it's very much worth it. I hope you keep getting better and I'll run into later stuff you post that will be helpful. I really wish there was an easy way to put in new monsters from a source that isn't available on the list of imports. I finally parsed through enough other monsters to figure out his YAML formatting but that just means I've got to enter every single new monster by hand and I'm far more likely to just screenshot all the monsters and stats to make a page for each then just roll on the table. It would have been awesome to actually put them in and use the plug-in for dice roller right from statblock but oh well.

Yeah I agree it would be very nice if there was another easier way to do the statblocks. I usually run my games in Foundry and just use Obsidian for the note taking part, but I did want to show what is available to others that might only use Obsidian for their games.

@@T4zzM4nnI worked in the video game industry, and I *really* understand the tension and time. But when your videos (generic videos, not YOURS) throw acronyms and info in a flood all at once, and I ask, simply, ‘where do I begin?’ And get silence, it’s a little frustrating.

I do always strive to be as clear and concise as I can in my teaching videos. So if you find any where I am not let me know and I can clear things up in the comment section of that video.

I am not sure of what PFFs is. but I would say Google it with additional keywords of maybe "obsidian" and "markdown". Or google "Obsidian TTRPG Community" they have repositories for lost of PRGs, not just D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e. Hope this helps

@@T4zzM4nn I meant PDF’s haha I figured it ☺️ I was hoping I could get monster stat blocks from different book (kobold press, MCDM etc) but I can just screen shot I suppose and have them in my notes before a session.

Yeah the quickest way would be screen shots. We do some custom statblocks in the upcoming videos, it is a bit more work but does allow you to roll from the statblocks and such.

I believe that I did. Can't remember off the top of my head what the issue was, but I do believe that in the next episode I addresses it.

There might be few things that have changed as far as the internal workings of Foundry goes. However the actual JavaScript parts should be valid as that does not change as much over time and they try to make it backwards compatible.

If I am understanding correctly. It is not a plugin it is jut the "Files" view. The tree structure is just all the notes and folders that I have created throughout this series. If this is not what you mean, then give me a time in the video that you see it the best, and a short description of what you are seeing in the pane.

Well as a last resort you can come onto the same (public) server as me and it would finally be season 2.

Oooh your map had the old beta generation, so when the save file got corrupted you got natural regeneration. We got the same effect on my world downloads from 2017, 2019 etc when [the old server, who we don’t name] reset map.

What server are you on? I didn't know that there were any around.

The only thing that I can think of is maybe your mod pack got corrupt. If you haven't tried already, you might want to uninstall the instance (verify that all the files are deleted) and then re-install it
